A Psalm of the Calebites

Many crave for wealth

Willing to surrender to its traps

Even at the expense of their health

Some rave for fame

Forgetting its futility

For world acclaim cannot replace the power of God’s name

Still others crave power

Even at the expense of their soul

Forgetting it’s only a temporal refuge tower

But my heart cries for a different Spirit

From the dungeon to palace it shall be my lift

A different Spirit I crave oh Lord

That I may be different and stand out for you oh Lord

For it shall lift me from the mud

And make me stand on the solid rock.

From dungeon it shall take me

And sit me among the princes

A different Spirit I crave for oh Lord

That I may be different by making a difference in my generation
