A Prayer For Today

12:35 pm 22 sept 2016

The leaves applaud the wonder of your might
As your breath blows across the earth cooling the night

The crickets and frogs a choir for your ears
The owls declare who can stand in your presence here

The deer nestled on the ground
Look up in admiration when they hear your sound

The earth groans and quakes as your foot stool
The oceans shine as your reflecting pool

The universe is your home that you built with your words
Forever echos with sounds of creations reverb

You are the glory and the glory is yours
The heavens expand as into it the micro verse pours

Have mercy on us little ones Great Father of all
We have lost our way, from you we did fall

We weep we gnash our teeth and wail
We cry out to you Father from our man made hell

We have forgotten who and what we are
We greedily devour riches near and far

We have lost our love and replaced it with hate
Come help us dear Father before its too late

Just as you said our faith has fell dead
We are lovers of ourselves and our lust fills our heads

Strengthen those whom still love you
And bring back those who used to

Give us wisdom and understanding to govern our free will
Give us grace to cleans our hearts and then love to fill

Let love fill us completely
Then spill out so sweetly

Let the grace given to us be passed on from heart to heart
Until it makes its way back to you where all true love starts.

in Christ name we pray and we all say amen
