A Prayer for Someone I Loved Deeply

A Prayer for Someone I Loved Deeply
God,
You know the truth of my heart better than anyone.
You saw how much she meant to me—how I listened, how I cared, how I tried to lift her burdens when she felt alone.
You know the nights I prayed for her peace, her child’s safety, her strength, and her future.
You know the love I carried, the plans I made, and the hope I held onto.
I bring all of that to You now.
If she is walking through doubt, fear, or loneliness, surround her with Your comfort.
If she feels she must face everything on her own, remind her that she is never abandoned.
If she is searching for direction, guide her steps gently.
If she is hurting, bring healing to the places she doesn’t speak about.
And God, You know the silence that grew between us—the sudden distance, the unanswered messages, the posts that made it clear she was choosing a different path.
You know how deeply that silence cut, not because I needed her to fix me, but because I hoped she would stand beside me the way I stood beside her.
I release the confusion, the questions, and the ache into Your hands.
I release the future I imagined, trusting that You see the seasons of our lives more clearly than we ever can.
If she was meant to be in my life only for a season, thank You for the beauty of that season.
Thank You for the lessons, the tenderness, the music shared, and the way she opened parts of my heart I didn’t know were there.
Thank You for the chance to care for someone so deeply.
And if there is a path where our lives cross again, let it be in Your timing, with clarity, peace, and purpose—not confusion or doubt.
But above all, God, bless her.
Bless her child.
Bless her home, her mind, her spirit, and her journey.
Let her find the support she needs, the love she deserves, and the strength she has always carried inside her.
And bless me too, Lord.
Heal what still hurts.
Steady my heart as I move forward.
Teach me to love without losing myself, to give without being emptied, and to hope without clinging to what is no longer mine to hold.
Let this prayer be my offering—
not to pull her back,
not to change her mind,
but to honor what was real
and to trust You with what comes next.
Amen.
