Notes About The Poem

A Poop Poem Or a Poem About Poop

Peter’s pesky Pekinese Pepe produced puddles of pee proceeded by piles of pernicious pongy poop Pauline's plimsolls got plastered! PLEASE use plastic pooper pouches Peter Pick up your pestilent pets' pooh! Fiction poem - but my 'pet hate' is folks who don't clean up after their pooch and for now Pauline's plimsoll's are poop free! 2/16/19

Even in our local park pet owners do not use the poop bags available there! I don't mind small dog droppings, it's the near pony-size dogs that leave cow-size patties that annoy me most and require a backhoe to scoop them up! Disgusting. / M

lol Maurice I loved your description of the various piles of doggy excrement. I also hate to see poop bag hanging in trees its a bizarre thing indeed when there are bins available. it inspired this poem a few year's back www.poetrysoup.com/poem/strange_fruit_871379

This is the 2nd time I've visited this poem... I just noticed the alliteration... --a combination of your genius and my thickness. Very well done (or dare I say dooed?)

"Pauline's plimsolls got plastered." You know I have no idea what a plimsoll is, but now I am dying to know. Sweet poem, Jan, pretty plain perturbing problem.

:) Save those shoes and get that dog housebroken, Jan! Hope Peter's pesky Pepe learns to live among people without perpetrating poop problems. Enjoyed the alliteration! Nice work. Hugs, Carolyn
