A Poet's Search
The light is kept at bay by impending darkness,
Night has come and all sounds fall in silence,
At the edge of the forest, a poet sits,
Gazing at the stars, as if waiting for an angel's visit
His mind wonders and wanders,
He prays his thoughts are not torn asunder,
Inspiration and guidance he desires,
For him to one day stand amongst the greats, he aspires
Darkness and light have concluded their fight,
Light is freed and with it brings the morning sun,
The poet's soul is deep with regret,
For his search in the darkness bore no fruit but that of failure,
But admist the sun's rays he stood mesmerized by the forest's beauty,
The Poet then found what he had been searching for,
For his conquest to find inspiration did not lie in the deep void of the oblivious darkness,
But instead in the majestic aura of light's almightiness
