A Poet's Lament

  Inspiration has fled me
    Hard toil has bled me
  Desperation has led me
    to my current snafu…

  Frustration has fed me
    Neuroses have shred me
  No one has read me
    no one save you…

  Here’s what I’m hoping
    That we’ll be eloping
  Else there’s no coping
~ my life will be through

If you're talking about "writer's block", G, I don't believe in it. Sometimes your bucket is full and sometimes it's empty...that's all.

Hi Gershon, "A Poet's Lament" captures the despair and isolation of a poet struggling with writer's block, where the absence of inspiration and recognition has driven the poet to a point of desperation. The poet's final hope lies in a deeply personal connection, hinting at salvation through understanding and acceptance from a singular, attentive reader. I would add help also from one's wise 'Inner Poet.' Cheers, Don
