A Poem On Fire

Imagination and creativity are pictured in my minds eye.
I'm that fallen star blazing across the midnight sky!
It's a raging desire that burns from within.
Demented thoughts fuel this fire at the end of my pen.

Flames are left by the streak of my words!
I have a morbid technique intertwined with verbs.
Vivid pictures ricochet off the walls of my brain.
Sentences pour like rain in my domain!

Smoke begins to rise and the poem takes shape.
Paragraphs hypnotize leaving no chance to escape.
My stanza's mesmerize beyond understanding.
The last sentence should harmonize and be commanding!

When the poem is complete, the pad catches fire!
A poetic athlete until the day I expire!!!

Another amazing piece of art from a truly gifted poet. I love the idea that "the pad catches fire" as the words and expressions set forth by you are BLAZING with energy and passion! Wonderfully penned! Smiles from Lolita

Never thought of the crative process this way, but I like the way your pad "catches fire" and motivates you to continue writing. Very interesting perspective, Jimmy. Best Wishes, Carolyn

It reminds me of pride based rap, but i like it, lots of movement in the emotional sequence.
