A Poem For You
Night lifted the ebony shroud from the curved satin sky,
the drizzle of gold streaks in the air of dawn had begun,
painting the meadow where the pearls of dew I saw lie
with luminous hues dancing under the shimmering sun.
As the radiance of the crimson cloud flushed my face,
you’d feel in your heart the spectrum of my love flow,
the cascade of enticing colors wrapping you with grace,
like a flower soaked in the tinge of yearning you’d glow.
The mesmeric moonbeam sprinkled silver dusts on me,
my muse wafted on reverie with tinsels of longing anew,
flew in your sky on wings of lyrical zephyr, and I'd see
me entranced in rhyme, and so I wrote a poem for you.
