A Poem For My Father

You are my father
how could you not
protect me or teach
me anything
You were supposed
to be there for me
through everything
It makes me sad that
you won't be there
for your oldest
daughter
I just pray that you're
blessed in the name
of the Holy Father
No matter how hard I
try to have a
relationship with you
You just turn away
like many other
people do
I'm sad, I'm hurt, but
do you care ... NO!!!!
I'll just hang my head
and weap to my soul

Your comes right through each word. Hang tough. I've been there. My mom committed suicide when I was going and my dad died from cancer the next year. Poetry helped me to disspell the anger and depression. It does get better.
