Terza Rima
Terza Rima is a verse form composed of iambic tercets (three-line groupings). The rhyme scheme for this form of poetry is "aba bcb cdc, etc." The second line of each tercet sets the rhyme for the following tercet, and thus supplying the verse with a common thread, a way to link the stanzas. The only time the form changes is at the conclusion of the poem, where the Terza Rima ends with either a single line or couplet repeating the rhyme of the middle line of the final tercet (like d or dd). There is no limit to the number of lines in Terza Rima.
"Like the silence that screams, cursing solitude,
whispers of faith sing patiently with prayers..."
Regina McIntosh
Raise your voices high in praise of our Lord
and encourage others to do the same,
everlasting life will be your reward.
Let His love burn in your heart like a flame
for without faith, life will never feel whole,
sing out hallelujah, in Jesus's name.
Don't apologize when faith takes control,
allow your belief in a loving God
to ignite the passion felt in your soul.
Pray for those that dismiss God as a fraud,
you're a miracle; believe in yourself,
we're all mortal beings, and therefore flawed.
God imbued humans with a sense of self
by giving us souls, a piece of Himself.
