A Photo Not Thrown Away

inside
a frozen
minute
you wait

the door
ajar
as if
to capture
the faintest
echo of
footfall

the mirror
scrutinizing
that empty
space
beside you
on the couch

my reflection
endlessly
snared
in mute
counterpoint

I like what Line said, hauntingly implied scenario. Shown not told.

What a beautiful haunting implied scenario. Delightfully hazy. Well done, Deborah.
