A Penny For Your Thoughts

Call on me, friends, to calm your fears; hear my voice on winds of song with tallest pines swaying along, and I will wipe away your tears. Call on me to lead you home, when your heart feels lost and void. My words will spill out overjoyed like moon’s cascade in twilight gloam. Gentle come my words and deeds; from mountains echoed endlessly, words lasting like smooth, shining seas, and rosebuds tended 'midst wild weeds. If we by chance, one day part ways, my words will resonate, I pray.

I remember the old saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" That was way off the mark, the wounds words leave last the longest.
