A Peculiar Reflection
In the Hallway hanging on the wall
An household item we all ignore
Standing Four feet wide by two feet high
Always there trying to make sure we comply
With up to date fashion and styles
Always trying to make us smile
One day whilst walking by
There was a reflection of a guy
The face staring at me, I did not recognise
Was he wearing a disguise?
Grey haired, long beard and looking over fifty
He was looking startled and rather shifty
That’s when I realised my life had flown past
Without the possibility of a second chance
Now is the time to take my turn
Forget about all my concern
There is a brand new glorious day ahead of me
Then reality struck! Where are my house keys..
