A Parent's Wishes

The sun always rises a new day has begun Dream or nightmare coming there are things to be done Eat up and prepare don't sit and stare Just do your best and everything will come to rest Work or school do not drool All things end So do not offend Home is where the heart is sit back and enjoy what you have Don't take anything for granted these times will be the best you will have So love life Smile like you never will again Because as the sun sets Tomorrow is something you can only pretend.

Congratulations, Thomas. You have made it through the first round of judging for Poetrysoup October 13, 2009 poetry contest. Your poem, The Parent's Wishes efficiently summarizes things like manners, work, education, etc. When a child pretends (Dreams) his tomorrow and makes it a goal=happier. 2009 was a successful year of poetry for you. I come, now, wishing you continued success in your writing endeavors throughout 2010 and for many years to come. God be with you. Lovingly, Dane Ann

Wonderfully written. I can see myself in this picture in just a couple of years. for the fact that I will soon have to send my oldest off to school. Keep up the good work. Lots of Love, Misty
