A panda, I will make you smile “Aw”
to see me so small in my mama’s paw.
By just two months old I have learned to walk.
I eat bamboo young. This is how I talk:
I bleat, croak, squeak, honk, make a huff, or growl.
The one thing for sure I do not do is howl.
After some months, Mom sends me on my way.
Most of us in China can be found today.
We eat in bamboo patches, but when done,
we have to go and find another one!
People keep building things. We lose our space
We need humans’ help to find us a place.
A world treasure, I’m sure you know my name.
My picture gave World Wildlife Fund its fame.
Help this “bear cat” who rarely touches meat.
I’m just a cutie, black and white and sweet.
