A Page In Time

Yesterday, so long ago.
Memories of things,
so hard to let go.

War, bigotry, unsettled times.
Unknown future, people in fear.
Drugs, racism, murder and pain.
Along with distrust.

Mother against daughter,
father against son.
Intimate relations,
corrupted by lust.

Evil extended, barring none.
A world of turmoil,
humans with the gun.

Hate, anger, violence galore.
Pimps, Junkies, lillers,
and the whore.
Could there be more?

A place that has become,
yours and mine.
Not yesterday, but today,
written as,
just a "Page in Time"
