A One Sided Love Affair

Such beauty that I see in you,
white feathers gleam in misty dew.
Above the water’s sparkling edge,
I see you stand amongst the sedge.

You think that I don’t see you there
and sway like reeds in open air.
Your heart I wish for us to share,
I know inside you really care.

Please let this be a loving start
and never more to be apart,
the feelings that we both could share,
much more than just a love affair.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I see you swim beneath the wave,
my life I know that you will save.
Now quick I reach for you and then
it’s down my throat it’s you I’ll send.
What a lovely, heartfelt love letter this is! I think anyone who receives such a letter would be touched by its simplicity, beauty, and sincerity. I know because it melted my heart! Excellent romantic piece! Hugs. Pandita
How we soon get enraptured by the wiles of romance, only to be snatched of all that we are! Beautiful, and an incredible ending!!! This was deadly and beautiful all at the same time. Really enjoying exploring your page this evening. Well done! Always, Laura
I'm afraid it's the risk we all take especially when young. Our expectations of what we are looking for do not correspond with what we actually want in a relationship, but we don't realize it until it's too late. Thank you Laura, you are always welcome here.
If you think about it Maureen, they really just love each other for different reasons. (I know, I know, how cruel. Perhaps it's me who is the beast.)
Thanks Sandra, I watch the birds fishing on the lake where I work and the fish seem almost mezmorized by the Great Egrets as there necks sway back and forth until they are snapped up by the birds.
Great imagery - the added visuals of the water line (with wavelets!) are a very effective bonus. BRAVO !
Sorry I haven't visited lately BW. I was thinking about you this morning. Thank you for the nice comment. I was thinking about the Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons I watch fishing along the canals at work and thought Viv might appreciate the irony.
