A New Year, a New Walk

Here upon a chilly eve
A new year is conceived
People sing with lavish joy
Praising all the year has been
Yearly we meet and celebrate

Now what has become of us
Entails us to new journeys
Wherever they may lead, we shall go

Young and old tread new walks
Every path becomes anew
And the journeys left behind us
Remind us of who we are
