A New Tomorrow
Today in the United States of America the dark clouds have parted
and a glorious sun is shining on her people and the world
the raging storm is almost over . . .
the dragon has been defeated
(though we still hear his feeble growls and moans)
and tomorrow is a new bright day and the next and next and next
2021 will be a new beginning . . .
the seed of a wonderous tree has been planted today
and people are cheering loudly
dancing on the streets of every city
in every country of the world . . .
they see a bright future on the horizon
there is no limit to tomorrow and tomorrow
and yesterday will soon be a bad dream fading away
there will be respect for all people
no matter color, religion or nationality
walls will be smashed down
there will be compassion for all
world respect will be won back
pride in country will be instilled in the youth
so many endless plans to work on . . .
so many wrongs to be corrected
no more fear or shame for her people
they will all stand up with pride
the United States of America will be great again in 2021
