A New Moon Night

The night was cold, so was my heart. I couldn’t watch her go. I yelled, I requested, I cried. She just walked away. I saw her disappear in the thick haze. I stood there alone, feeling my body get numb. My heart raced a thousand horses. She was gone, leaving me with my failures, difficulties and loneliness. Very soon I realized-fake were her promises to be there for me. Fake was her love, and mine too deep. She lost someone who truly loved her. I lost someone who didn’t. I felt as empty as the night sky without the moon. Maybe that’s what I was meant to be, a new moon night.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
