The new moon actually appears tomorrow night -- March 29, 2025, the first of Nissan, 5785. ~ gw

Tonight a new moon appears in the sky barely visible to the naked eye Yet in fourteen nights it will wax complete pools of reflected sunlight at our feet Gradually then, it will wane again as passions dim in the heart of man Israel marks her time by the calendar of the moon Passover falls on the 15th of Nissan every year ~ Hear the cry of the lamb, the song of the loon

I'd forgotten how you can wax poetically when you want to, this reminded me that I have read many lovely, emotive rhymes (maybe free verse. too, can't remember) penned by you. Your lines are beautiful but that's all I can say for now because I must go and look up Nissan in the context you used it. I admit, I'm ignorant about the first of Nissan, the middle and the last. Ah, maaaan, you made me have to go and learn sumpin'. I always have a good time at your place ... CayCay

So often we take for granted the wonders of nature. We need to be more aware of the miracles around us, Gershon. Enjoyed, SuZ

Wonderful poem Gershon. The blood painted over the door jamb. The unleavened bread. Interesting a few years ago we had a rabbi come to our church and we celebrated Passover.

No wonder you liked this. Your name means 'little(?) moon.' Thank you for your kind words, Lunita. ~ Gershon
