A New Day
A New Day
Yesterday we played in the sun
Building sand castles at the beach
With the waves of destiny guiding,
guiding our steps. We pause.
We look into each other's eyes,
then out into the horizon, and
our eyes moisten at the treadmill
of life we're on..."we need to
change, babe"...as if the voices
and eyes in the ocean awakened.
We fall back into each others arms,
as the clouds in the sky scatter,
giving us the stage. I whisper.
She returns her answer with a
kiss, as her fingers squeeze my
nose. Her way of telling me she
knows, too.
