A New Day
We finish natures intimacy
as you leave you are alien
I cannot carry what is hidden
I buttress the hallow denied
you have left me like all before
wholly, utterly, I’m convinced
no expanse allotted, in your marrow
conceptions; simple myths of silly poets
Black dawn and words of romance
song-less birds, bloom-less flowers
nectar-less arid lives,
this this my familiar masquerade
rats in the sinking hull meshed into family
knowing nothing of dreams, goals and inside life
no time for such luxury, no ability for such fulfillment
and so I walk with the invisible chain of anonymity
rattling singular, in my vast vacant timeless chambers,
massive clouds cover the distant onerous doors
I try to alter my infertile artery
rip down giant barriers of self preservation
torrents, rain spouts, and frigid fear
gravity fails, and I float untethered
seen now, but unable to snare the ancient needs
dreams awaken, then hide their faces, I drift to my terror
unloved, unwanted, uncared and devoid of humanity
an orphan scratching for all he’s worth
flailing and failing in useless desperation
a helpless victim; a virgin perfection
a reflected messiah, beautifully broken, uniquely forsaken
finally saved from my saccharine supermen
from the tomb of the explainable
