A New Baby In Australia

This is an event grander than any other. A friend of mine has become a grandmother. A girl was born to her son and daughter-in-law. This is the cutest baby anyone ever saw. Eight pounds, nine ounces, and fifty-one centimeters in length, this baby girl named Ashley is the picture of strength. This is a most blessed event. There is a new life on the Australian continent.

I finally saw the note you had left me at that poem where I had once asked you who Leolee was. (I rarely see people's comments to my comments, don't know why Soup has that feature) Anyway, I'm glad I finally caught what you had told me, to go read this poem you wrote for her daughter. You did a REALLY good tribute. She should put it on her baby announcements!!

Beautifully written poem to a newborn baby Robert, nice one. My poem 'Water Colours in the Rain' was inspired by Roxette from Sweden. By the way, Al Stewart is in my collection. A superb Scottish Singer/Songwriter if I may say so. 'The Year of the Cat' is sheer class....:)
