A Needless Dream
The more I slept
I’m to find the lesser sleep
For dreams they crept
As when rest I truly need
Keeping one awake for experiences
Never for when we truly need
And dreams... they are like distances
One we never wanted yet we plead
An eventual sleep led me
And a needless dream I am to see
To keep me from a person I’m used to be
Yet to find a reality I awake to not be free
It had to be tiring
Real or not... kept me thinking
For sleep never bothers like dreaming
When its all day I kept wondering
Dreams whence crept
When its reality I don’t even need
Yet those of nights I slept
To only find if not my lesser sleep
