A National Emblem
The bald eagle symbolizes might, strength and freedom...
the United States chose it as their national emblem.
This agile flier is a unique bird that can glide over rivers and oceans...
swooping down to grab fish with its strong toes and sharp talons.
It is the only sacred animal for all the Native Americans...
a messenger, a symbol of peace so honored in their dance.
Bald eagles with their white heads and tails and yellow, curved beak...
survive in their wild habitat by feeding on other birds extremely weak.
Even Benjamin Franklin wasn't too happy about their declaration of supremacy...
he pointed out their dishonesty and cowardice in getting their undeserved prey.
