A Mouse Tale

There once was a jolly old man
Who needed to go to the can;
‘Twas Christmas Eve night,
He’d held it in tight,
Should have gone before he began.

And now came the very last house,
Took a seat though felt quite the louse;
He hadn’t been seen,
He’d get away clean --
Alas, he was caught by the mouse.

This is terrific, Deb. Line five in the first verse made me laugh out loud. Some of us can relate to that feeling. Competition for this contest was awesome and you did a great job. Thanks for supporting the contest with your witty verse. Best wishes, Carolyn
