A Mountain Breeze Was Flowing

A mountain breeze was flowing,
as I sat by a stream along a road,
feeling the gentle coolness
against my sun-kissed face,
getting relief from my resting spot. 

A mountain breeze was flowing
as I looked and saw the airy breeze
swaying among the matriarchs
of the dell providing a shaded canopy
with the heat of a summer day.

A mountain breeze was flowing,
as birds felt the gentle coolness
among their feathers making 
them soar majestically against
the perfectly blue and cloudless sky.

A mountain breeze was flowing,
as my senses were at ease,
enjoying the solitude and peacefulness
except for a scolding squirrel who on
occasion reminded me I was in its territory,

I am way behind in my comments and I happened to scroll way down and remembered you'd written to me that you were a cancer survivor too. That is incredible to have it twice and overcome it. They told me second time would be fatal usually for breast cancer victims. Bless you!!
