A Mothers Lullaby
Close your eyes and good night
Really!!
I can’t even close my eyes for five minutes,
much less all night.
And rock-a-bye baby!
With a bottle of Vodka maybe
Close your eyes and sleep tight
For reals?
Try sleeping tight through more
crying than Martha Stewart
at a Stock market crash
Close your eyes, rest your head
Sure
But good grief, not in my bed!
I’m tired!
