A Moonlight Song - Yiruma

The embrace of silence the last paradise
walking in the forest when autumn finds winter.
A serenade in the moonlight turns my heart to ice;
through tears I could see you falling in love with her.

Walking in the forest when autumn finds winter
a silver line of white shadow wipes our histories.
Through tears I could see you falling in love with her;
the moment time forgets painted memories.

A silver line of white shadow wipes our histories;
a serenade in the moonlight turns my heart to ice.
The moment time forgets painted memories;
the embrace of silence ...the last paradise.

Your poem is lovely FJ, would have been even better if it was a bit longer.. You did well to get all those titles in such a short poem though.. Congratulations on your placement in the contest..

Thank you S1. I haven't the clarity to create longer poems of any substance as of late; but I hope maybe one day :) Thank you again.

While I am not familiar with this artist, your pantoum is so lyrical and haunting!

It means a lot Michelle thank you so much. His song A River Flows Through You has played on a few movies. It's quite relaxing :)

A beautiful and poignant pantoum Shadow. So rhythmic with lovely rhymes, your tender poetic lines flow seamlessly with the use of the song titles. Excellent and best wishes for a win!

Thanks so much Alexis. He actually had so many more titles than I would have guessed so I had to pass up some I absolutely loved. They just didn't fit it this one.

Your poem took me back to places and people I have not seen in a long time, Shadow. There was a time in a forest when a teen love and I carved our initials in a tree. Thank you for bringing that memory back to me. Very lovely imagery!
