A Moment of Joy

It was a dull and lifeless day
of brown and gray
I'd walked around
until I found

A little flower all alone
in beauty grown
which caught my eye
as I passed by

The color I was blessed to see
had lifted me
and as it grew
my spirit flew

love this little write Robin. Reminds me of a thought I had the other day about a little dandelion growing out of a crack in a sidewalk and no other flowers in sight. Why the thought crossed my mind I have no idea...lol.

This is such a lovely poetry form. Finding the colorful beauty flower among the gray and brown, reminds me of part of an amazing book I read. Such an uplifting write. There is beauty everywhere, sometime we just need to look. Love, Shar
