A Moment Not Yet

My eyelids close as softly
As a feather floats
To the ground in
The gentle wind of your
Breath on my forehead
My cheek warm on your
Thigh and cascading sunlit
Hair sweeps across your legs
Safely I sleep and you are
There to catch my dreams
To see right through them
As translucent wishes
Float like bubbles and
You guard my slumber
My head in your lap
With my sleepy smile

Congrats on this selection. This reads without taking a breath, kind of perpetuum mobile. I like it very much for that reason. Love, daver
