A Moment In Time

I can
     still feel you
lying in the crook of my arm,
Me
    just lying next to you,
                  watching you sleep,
feeling your heart beat
                  against my ribs,
   your hair spilling
            across my chest.
Why couldn't time
                     have ended right there?
