A Moment In Time

The picture represents a moment from the past This fine piece of art is upon the wall at last Green shrubbery surrounds the babbling brook I have seen this before in a picture book The picture was painted with loving care It makes me feel as if I am there This work of art captures a moment in time As I sit here and stare at this picture of mine White frothy water running freely along I can almost hear it and the birds in song In my minds eye, I can see beyond the frame I’m walking by the brook, with animals so tame I am lost in my picture, it is serenity indeed I can see all the countryside, I have been freed Lovely surroundings, I could linger here all day As I drift inside the picture, here I could stay
