A Modern Mona Lisa
Leonardo’s Mona Lisa has nothing on you
with her familiar face we’ve seen for years;
but your young beauty that’s so fresh and new,
leaves men around you seeking new frontiers.
Your olive smooth complexion soft and fair;
that lovely smile with tender moist pink lips.
Your chestnut eyes and silky auburn hair
leaves men around you trying to get grips.
And yet your mirror tells you looks are bland;
you’ve always lived your life in simple style
while those who know you ever longing still, and
dreaming of your Mona Lisa smile.
