A Mind Decays

Hope is woefully unknown. Dreams that last while I’m awake. My mind unstable and unsure. If I could see inside your head, What would I find? Is everything like you say? Will everything be okay? They say ignorance is bliss, But I say it’s a plague. I’m longing to see you, I’m yearning to talk. I’ve tried countless times, But I’m left crying to a ghost. How many times do I need reassurance, To ease a troubled thought? I’ve run out of things to say, I’ve run out of reasonings. The choice is ultimately yours. I’ve got to put trust in destiny, But it’s out of my control. It’s out of my control, And I hate it. I hate not knowing what the future holds. You tell me time and again you won’t lose hope, So what am I to do as my mind decays further. Cycling through emotions, A mind cannot make progress. But I’m trying, Please know I’m trying.
