A Metaphor of What Is True and Real
This uneternal universe be gone
A metaphor of what is true and real
The essence of all things before was done
Before our hurt, a cure was there to heal
Five daylights lag behind of nature came
Less noble man, his honor turned to gross
But grace did cause the saving of the same
That found us long before that we were lost
For what a perfect universe be worth?
When we see not by such a fallen race
The soul made centre of this sinful earth
Forfeit to gain the sovereign prize of grace
Before the world God has a plan to save
For fallen men his perfect Son he gave
