A Mermaid Was Found By the Seaside
Mister doctor:
Below the sea – tail, fins and scales.
Face, heart and hands – above the land.
Mermaids are free from fairy tales,
Can you people here understand?
Old Sailor:
But where is the song?
Sing, sing for us mermaid,
Are we right or wrong?
Are you what he just said?
She sung her music with the sea
And when the journalists came
It was too late: they could only see
the twilight waning flame…
Old Sailor:
I have heard that before,
The ocean carried all their lore…
