A Memory Lost

Lover this heartache cries for thee
upon a winters chill, echoing sadness
pale lips shall never kiss your poison
if tainted heart remains upon deaths table

Once was called forever, a dance
a fool blinded by black cotton veils
blanket me with a comforting embrace
tell me of our favorite song

"Cover thee in Oil" whispers a memory lost
laughter was once a knights last promise
leaving a speechless romance to dine alone
don't leave this disabled heart to wither in silence

Passionate desire and longing, always
with a kiss our fates have been sealed
cry tears of sorrow no more my sweet
let me feed you with the bounty of our love...
