A Maternal Smack In the Head From Heaven
i remember you as you once were
cancer is a monster that ultimately changes so many things
you lost your battle, and i miss you ever so badly
however, i felt you smack me upside my head and say 'pray for the survivors, boy!'
yes mam
what you say still goes as always
i am nobody's poet or pastor, but i will try here this once
LORD, I PRAY FOR THE SURVIVORS OF ANY TYPE OF CANCER
LORD, UPLIFT THEIR SPIRITS AND STRENGTHEN THEIR SELF ESTEEM
LORD, BLESS THEM WITH A NEW FOCUS AND A NEW LEASE ON LIFE
LORD, KEEP THEM UPLIFTED AND GIVE THEM ASSURANCE THAT HOPE IS ALIVE AND WELL
LORD, PROTECT THEM FROM OTHER STATES OF EMERGENCIES UNFAMILIAR TO THEIR EYES AND ALL OTHER EYES AS WELL
LORD, WE ALL NEED YOU ALWAYS FOREVER AND A DAY IN UNITY
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING
IN YOUR PRECIOUS NAME I PRAY, AMEN
