A Masterpiece of Love

I've been rude towards Him 
Yet He never crank me 
Though I disobeyed 
He never spank me 
Though I've been naughty 
He didn't flank me 

He gave me everything He could 
Right from infancy to childhood 
And lavished me with everything He would 
He held me and covered me with His love
He always wanted me by His side 
Yet I hid myself and His voice came calling 

"My son come here, why are you hiding? 
My son come here, I got your back 
You've played hide and seek long in the dark 
There's no need to feel ashamed 
I know and feel your pain 
I know and feel your strain" 

Though He called I was reluctant to go 
My coat was stained and all torn 
In my secret garden a new me was born 
A new love, a feeling of nostalgia 
I felt His love and was drowned in flood of tears 
"I've loved you son," He whispered into my ears 

His eyes were like flames of fire, staring 
Staring lovingly into my flooded eyes 
He draped me in coat of many colours 
Every colour was perfectly stitched 
Stitched together with His amazing love 
He embraced me, held me and kissed me 

"See my wrist and think how deeply I loved you 
My love for you is ever true 
If only you knew how I think of you 
See, I've engraved your name in my palm 
I'm always with you and will never depart 
I'm the only One who loved you perfectly right 

I'm sorry for being unfaithful 
10,000 reasons I'll love you 
You clothed me better than I clothed myself 
Till eternity I'll serve you and nobody else 
Thank you for your unswerving love 
And adorning me in this coat of many colours
