love comes and goes
and often the love we find
isn't always meant to be
lovers come and go
but none of them
are ever the same
friendships come and go
and with each one
you learn something new
friends come and go
each one unique
and add a new prospect to your life
i just want you to know
i'm like neither one them
baby i'm here to stay
to be your comfort always
to let you cry on my shoulder
and hold you when feel down
love comes and goes
friendships come and go
but babe i'm constant and here to stay
my promise to you always
