A Love Supreme

a love supreme...

laboring through the trials
of day
and the weeping pains
of night—
from the quarry of life
we hewed out the stone
of romance
chiseling away
its superfluous edges
we sculpt a love supreme
accepting and respecting
differences
embracing
our oneness
our togetherness—
ours is:
a love supreme...
a love supreme...
			a love supreme...
