A Love Song For the Universe

A love song for the universe
(If all would sing) could travel high,
Its notes of harmony traverse
the paths of stars beyond the sky!

And if all "feeling" souls could hear
A love song for the universe,
There'd be an end to hate and fear,
So join and sing this simple verse. . .

Whose strains sung strongly could immerse
All worlds in peace, sweet melody,
A love song for the universe.
Why can't it be sung easily?

And with eternal hope will cling
All spirits who need not rehearse
What all of us so need to sing,
A love song for the universe!

Love your love song, Andrea, thank for writing, why can't it be sung easily??? It was Capitalism and if you do watch, be ready to be disturbed in the aftermath.......

What a lovely entry for the contest Andrea, and wouldn't it be wonderful for everyone to join in this song. I admire your seeming ease at creating in different forms. This is sure to do well. Mahalo, Connie

Good luck in the contest with this well written poem that reads like a winner..All things are singing praise to their creator we just can't hear it ...We can only hear a small portion of it..I am glad that you enjoyed reading my work and hope that you gained a new or different insight from something that I penned..Sara

Hey, i'm listening to this instrumental while reading your poem. Tears Of Joy by Orchestra Lunatica. "All spirits who need not rehearse" I like that line. The song is within us all, huh. Good luck in the contest.

I just love the thought of that, "love song for the universe" hopefully the message you write here would be heard-- sure would make a difference if people actually followed your advice-- very nice thoughts you put in here Andrea :) this better be in the winner's list & no worries I am definitely not removing it hahaha I just got so excited that it was almost filled up haha I am actually the culprit why it closed lol ;) but hmmm will see if I can still revise it...if not sorry ..hugs

Andrea, I wish that love song would emerge from our hearts, filled with peace and love for other creatures throughout the universe. A very creative take on the contest, my friend, and you'll excel in the contest with this imaginative entry. As for the age-hider, we know her well. 'Nuff said. Love, Carolyn
