A Loser's Journey Home

Tonight, I was a partner in the loser’s dance.
I am just another fool who took a chance.
I played some blackjack, craps, and roulette.
I lost money on just about every bet.
For most, comp rooms are what pit bosses cannot arrange.
There are dummies checking pay phones for loose change.
Along this boardwalk, I no longer want to roam.
I just get in my car for the long drive home.
Yes, these casinos draw their suckers en masse.
Thank God, I have a full tank of gas.
If only my willpower had been a bit stronger.
Losing makes the journey home seem a little longer.
My luck was so bad; it seemed unreal.
I just hope I do not fall asleep behind the wheel.

Robert, Luckily for me living in Las Vegas I really can relate to how some people must feel when their hopes are so high and it just doesn't pan out. Luckily, I play very little :) Very creative and congrats on the win :)
