A Lonely Winter Wind
The howl of the winter wind cries over the treetops
and through the soul
A north wind makes the cold colder
and the old feel older
The old man snores under a pile of wool blankets
dreaming of a time when life was full with flavor
Living long is out living love ones
a lonely winter wind remembers
Nothing like a haircut on a windy day
hat heads and button coats
The heat of summer makes slow motion
the chill of winter hurries into a rush
Layers and layers for warmth not comfort
chap lips and runny noses
welcome hot coffee and coco
Nothing as beautiful as a frozen smile
to warm a chilled heart
Hot foot bath heats the body
and rosy cheeks are in season
Blow lonely winter wind blow
inside the hearth of home is shelter
This is gonna to be a three dog night
