A Lone Snowflake

A lone snowflake floated my way, so poised Lacking friends airborne to act as decoys I stuck out my tongue, she landed, she melted ~ Had she company, a shovel's smack I'd have dealt it

The beauty of a snowflake. This is so pretty, it twinkled and floated as I read it and made me think of Snowflake Bently, one of my favorite children's books about snowflakes. What a lovely poem. I love the snowflake metaphor or the symbol at the Winter Olympics: We are all different, beautifully different, but we come together as one.

Ha, ha! That snow blower would show her! Hope things are well, Mike. P.S. Eat your heart out: We had a whole morning's worth of sunshine here in Chicago today. ~ ASC, America's Sunshine City :)

Hi Gershon, the snow flake being single had the fortune to get you and be dissolved into your being. If she were with company, she would have been dealt harsh with a smack of your shovel... Enjoyed your thought...
