A Little Rain

A LITTLE RAIN I was happy as I could be, and things were going right for me, Then a little rain came into my life, a little bit of pain and strife, A little rain came into my life; the sun now I could not see. Then I looked up into a tree and heard a bird sing out merrily, “Oh, a little rain came into my life, a little bit of clouds and strife, A little rain came into my life, and now I won’t thirsty be.” Then I looked up in the sky, and sunshine now was greeting my eye. Yes, a little rain came into my life, a little bit of pain and strife, A little rain came into my life, but that was the best for me. The sky so gray and fall of the rain of which I have so often complained Is a message from the Lord above, a message of His wonderful love, A message from the Lord up above that the sun will come shining again. We all need sunny skies and the rain, we all need comfort and we all need pain. When a little rain comes into your life, a little bit of pain and strife, The little rain that comes to your life will follow with sunshine again. When life becomes a stormy shore, when you think you’ll be happy no more, When that little rain comes into your life, that little bit of pain and strife, When that little rain comes into your life, just look up and trust in the Lord. Music has been written to these words.
