A Little Psalm For Mom

My wife's named Irina, though we all call her 'Mom'
For her is this tribute, our little Psalm

She cooks delicious meals for our family every day
Happy to do it, without a nickel of pay

Whatever needs to be done, laundry or cleaning
She's on it cheerfully, to her it's not demeaning

For Irina takes pride in a home that sparkles and shines
A comfortable domicile, where we happily dine

The blessings she has brought to us, to count are so many
May God grant her good health and long life ~ to 120!

I've always loved the psalms Gershon. This is such a delightful and appreciative poem to your wife. She sounds very nurturing and lovely. Wife's and mothers play a myriad of roles, don't they? God bless them, for where would some of us be without one?

I have learned a lot from your poems and comments, Gershon. How could Irina not have the best Mother's Day after reading such a loving psalm? I hope that you and your family live long and happy lives. Take care, Shirley

Very, very sweet of you, Shirley. Irina did, indeed, have a lovely Mother's Day. So did we all. Wishing you only roses, no thorns! ~ Gershon
