A Little Known Fact
A Little known fact -
For a while I've realized such beams lit upon my face
Were present due to no other one than you
And while I like to jest about how horrible you are,
I could not ask for anyone more delightful
So listen -
This is no mere poem,
It is a fact - and a fact, as you know,
Must indeed be true
But would you believe me?
Aside from what logic provides,
I fear I may lose that beam - yes, lose it!
So before your departure becomes truth,
I must quickly relay to you this -
That I am a mirror
And all of the praise you have graciously granted me,
To create such beams of laughter and smiles,
Are reflections of you - yes, you!
I am just the mirror
And you are the delight
And that -
That is a little known truth
